Judy Marie McDade Mullinax

Judy Marie McDade Mullinax, age 68 of Hudson, passed away Friday, February 17, 2017 at her residence.

Mrs. Mullinax was born in Caldwell County, NC to the late Charlie Bob McDade and Vergie Katherine Williams McDade. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Dennis Mullinax Sr., a daughter-in-law; Missy Mullinax, grandson; Levi Mullinax and nephews, Brian Mullinax and Bradley Goforth.

She was a substitute teacher in the public school system and an assistant teacher in a BEH class at Gamewell Middle School, here in Caldwell County, proudly served in the United States Army and was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Robert Dennis Mullinax Jr. of Granite Falls, daughters; Melisa Guy and husband Jonathan of Lenoir and Regina Mullinax of Hudson, grandchildren; Casey, Charlie and Taylor Mullinax, Samantha Sparks and husband Chad, great-grandchildren; Abby Mullinax, Emma Mullinax, Wyatt Phillips and Aubree Sparks. Also left to cherish her memory are numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church at 3:00 pm with Reverend Clyde Bumgarner, Rev. Tommy Jones and Reverend David Jones officiating. The burial will follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm.

Military Honors will be provided by the United States Army and the Caldwell County Veterans Honor Guard.
