Kathleen Elizabeth Farmer

Kathleen Cody Farmer Passed away April 6, 2015 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care. She was born January 15, 1924 in Caldwell County to the late Adam Alexander and Cordell Correll Cody. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Farmer; one brother, Daniel Cody; two sisters, Helen Cody and Francis Stedum.

She is survived by a son, Steve Farmer: a sister, Toye Allen, a brother, Burl Cody, and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was a long time member of Central Baptist Church where she was active in her Sunday School Class and the Sunshiners (senior adult group). One of the highlights of her last years was the weekly visit with her pastor, John Jernigan.

She enjoyed gardening, canning and doing crafts. She loved sharing the products of her talents with anyone who came by to visit.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 9, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. in Pendry’s Chapel with Reverend John Jernigan officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
