He was born May 6, 1957 in Caldwell County to the late Carl Messer and Jimmie Mae Sutton Greene.
Funeral service will be held 11am Monday, June 12, 2017 at Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Cemetery. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, from 10am to 11am at the Funeral Home.
Larry was a member of Journey’s End Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Lenoir VW (Volkswagen) Club.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Messer; son, Derrick (Shanna) Messer of Lenoir; brothers, Leon Hollar of Lenoir and Terry (Kathy) Messer of Lenoir. He is also survived by two grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of personal choice.
