Larry Edward Penley, age 70, of Lenoir, North Carolina passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at his residence. Mr. Penley was born March 10, 1953 in Caldwell County to the late Louie and Gertrude Barrier Penley.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Miriam Elizabeth Allen Penley, brothers, Lloyd and Mickey Penley and a sister, Lona Bristol.
Larry was a loving and dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Lenoir and he worked as a boiler technician for Broyhill Furniture for many years.
Those left to cherish his memory include is sons, Steven Penley and wife Julie, Luther Penley and wife Myra, brothers, Lowell Gene Penley, Terry Penley and sisters, Mary Coffey and Lucille Triplett.
Also surviving are his beloved grandchildren, Isabella,Addison, William, Elizabeth, Brooklyn and Luther Jr. (LJ).
A celebration of his life will be held on Monday, June 26, 2023 at 4:00 pm in the chapel of Pendry's Lenoir Funeral Home with Rev. Dewey Bristol officiating.
