Louise Boswell Bender

Louise Boswell Bender, age 80, of Hudson, North Carolina passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at The Berkeley in Morganton, N.C. Louise faithfully worked as a substitute teacher in the public school system, as a homemaker and as a food service worker at the Shaire Center for a number of years. She was born on October 18, 1943 to the late Albert Earl Boswell and Rosa Ward Boswell. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Gary Alfred Bender, sister Rai Amaral and brother Richard Boswell.

Those left to cherish her memory are two sons Ronnie Watts (Terry) of Lenoir, N.C., William Watts (Lynetta) daughters Debbie Watts Gulda of Hudson, N.C., and Alta Dyer (Andrew) of Lake Mary, Florida, step daughters Debbie Bycraft and Dianna Capps, brothers Larry Boswell, and C.R. Carroll of Texas, Gail Davis of Colorado, Carol Ann Cratochul of Texas, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

She enjoyed family, music, piano, dancing, and singing.

A memorial service to honor the memory of Louise will be held in the chapel of Pendry's Lenoir Funeral Home, Saturday, August 10 at 2:00 p.m.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 10 from 1:00-1:50 pm at Pendry's Lenoir Funeral Home.
