Lovingly called “Nanny”, she lived a full life!

Born in East Liverpool, OH, the daughter of Nina Waters Whippler and Harold E. Whippler; MaryJane was a devout lifelong Christian, and proud WWII Veteran (WAVES) serving in Washington DC and Cleveland, OH. She resided in the East Liverpool area for many years, then moved to Florida in 1969 where she lived until 2016. She resided is Lenoir, NC with family at the time of her death.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Norma Finley, first husband of 25 yrs, Ralph Wolfe, second husband of 12 yrs, Jacques Russell, son-in-law, Walter Gonter and grandson, Douglas Gordon.

MaryJane is survived by her children, Bruce Wolfe, Jayne (Dale) Dietzman, Beth (Gregg) Carter, Ellen Gonter, and stepchildren Jacqueline Russell and Robyn (Frank) Mattia. Also her grandchildren, Michael (Stephanie), Ralph (Maria), Jason (Kris) Janell (Jared), 10 great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on April 27th, at 2:00 pm t Tamoka Christian Church, 1450 Hand Ave. Ormond Beach, FL.

In lieu of flopwers, memorials may be made to Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care at 902 Kirkwood Street, Lenoir, NC 28645 or to the Salvation Army at -800-SAL-ARMY (725-2769).
