Mary Louise Pitts Pitts Loudermelt

Mrs. Loudermelt was born September 23, 1919 in Lenoir, NC to the late Monroe Pitts and Minnie Oxendine Pitts. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Walter Lewis Loudermelt; two infant children; two grandchildren, Sherri Loudermelt and Greg Casper; and several siblings.

Surviving Mrs. Loudermelt are one son, Clyde Harmon Loudermelt and wife, Mary of Lenoir, NC; one brother, Roscoe Pitts of Blowing Rock, NC; one sister, Ellen Pitts of PA; five grandchildren, Donna Shoemaker and husband, Donnie of Union Grove, NC, Randy Loudermelt and wife, Tammy of Charlotte, NC, Tammy Norton and husband, Barry of Stoney Point, NC, Rhonda Hollar and husband, Joey of Granite Falls, NC and Alma Vite and husband, Hilario of Lenoir, NC; eight great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and a number of special nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Pitts officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Blowing Rock, NC. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
