Mildred Mae Ingram Crump, age 92, of The Globe, North Carolina passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 as she was surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Crump was born March 27, 1931 in Caldwell County to the late Charlie Wesley Ingram and Coty Bradshaw Ingram.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Glenn David Crump, Brothers, Frank, Fred, Jess, Jack, Denver and Joe Ingram and sisters, Eva Coffey and Dorothy Ingram.
Mildred was a member of Globe Baptist Church and worked for Bernhardt Furniture for 35 years. She was dedicated to her family and loved spending time with them. She enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren, being outdoors working in her flower garden, and spending time at the beach. She was known for caring for others. She was always kind to everyone and showed her family and friends a true example of being a Christian.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children; Glenda "P-nut" Cozart and husband Roger of Hudson, Teresa Hollar and husband David of Lenoir, a brother, Hubert Ingram of Portland, Maine and a sister, Margie Cox of Kingsport, Tennessee.
Also left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren; Lisa Bradshaw, David Severt, Leslie Smith, Heather Severt, her great-grandchildren; Elisa Pedraza, Tyler Bradshaw, Josh Severt, Kara Smith, Kaleigh Seagle, Maddie Seagle, Savanah Smith, Lucas Severt, her great-great grandchildren, Vayla Pedraza and Genesis Wilfong.
A service to honor Mildred will be held on Sunday, March 17, 2024 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Pendry's Lenoir Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Cox officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Ingram Family Cemetery On Staircase Mountain. Serving as pallbearers will be David Severt, Josh Severt, Brian Smith, RJ Hersman, Jr., Rick Crump and Bobby Severt.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 12:45 pm until 1:45 pm at Pendry's Funeral Home.
