Mildred Killen Greene

Mildred Arive Killen Greene, 79 of Lenoir, NC, passed away, October 18, 2010 at her daughter’s residence.

Mrs Greene was born March 13, 1931, in Wilkes County, to the late John Henry and Ethel Maime Yates Killen. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Greene, one son, Cecil K. Greene and one brother Billy Killen.

Survivors include two sons, Larry Keith and Albert Reid Greene both of Lenoir, NC; three daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph (Linda Joe) Eldreth of Lenoir, NC, Mr. and Mrs. Bobby (Rita) Miller of Patterson, Teresa Lynn Cornett of Hudson; three brothers, Harold Killen of Wilkesboro, Garland and Bobby Killen, both of Florida; one sister, Carolyn Nowell of Wilkesboro; fifteen greatchildren and fifteen great grandchildren; and one great, great grandchild.

A funeral service will be held for Mrs. Greene, Thursday, October 21, 2010 at 11:00 am at Pendry’s Funeral Home Chapel with Leonard Younce officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at Pendry’s Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be David Blevins, Joey Mullinax, Jr., Jordan Mullinax, Johnathan Norris, Robbie Anderson, and Chris Hicks.
