Mildred Greene Holman

Mrs. Holman was born in Caldwell County to the late Fred and Opal Coffey Greene. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey L. Holman.

Mrs. Holman was a loving mother and long time employee of Belk Department Store in Lenoir, she was also a member of Calvary Advent Christian Church.

Those left to cherish her memory are, her son; Mike Holman and wife Jackie of Lenoir; her daughter, Sandra Holman Poteat and husband Bob of Charlotte; a brother, Fred Greene of Washington State; a sister, Lib Pearson of Lenoir; three grandchildren, Scott Poteat of Charlotte, Leigh Ann Plemmons of Winston Salem, and Tyler Holman of Lenoir and four great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held for Mrs. Holman on January 22, 2011 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Pendry’s Funeral Home with the Reverend Jim Lee officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 11:00 am prior to the service.

The Holman family would like to express their most sincere thanks to the staff of Shaire Center Nursing Facility and to the staff of Caldwell County Hospice and Palliative Care for their kindness and compassion during a most difficult time for our family.
