She was born July 17, 1938 in Caldwell County to the late Arnold Rash and Mary Bishop
A Graveside Service will be held 3pm Sunday July 9, 2017 at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
Nancy was a pianist at First Wesleyan Church for over thirty five years.
She was preceded in death by her father, Arnold Rash; mother, Mary Bethany Rash; sister, Geneva Steele, and Ruth Turner.
She is survived by her husband, Douglas Gilbert; daughters, Vickie (Mike) Spicer, Rita (Greg) Simmons; son, Clay (Julie) Gilbert; grandchildren, Erin (Brian) Lewis, Leah (Chris) Massey, Amber Spicer, Felicia (Justin) Clark, Maria (Chris) Austin, Zane (Heather) Simmons, Allie Jane Gilbert, and Andrew Gilbert. She also leaves to cherish seven great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Caldwell County Hospice.
