Neal Thomas Sanders

Neal was born to Shirley Wilson Anderson of Granite Falls and Harry Sanders. Neal was a roofer and landscaper. He enjoyed playing basketball, loved children, and was an animal lover. Neal was a veteran of the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Mclean Sanders, of the home, one daughter Jasmine Sanders of Lenoir, three sisters; Theresa Goad of Lenoir, Frances McLean and husband Thomas of Lenoir, Pam Grindstaff also of Lenoir, one sister in law, Sharon Bowman and husband Ray of Granite Falls, one brother in law, William McLean and wife Susie of Hickory and numerous other relatives.

Funeral Services for Mr. Sanders will be 2:00 pm Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Pendry’s Chapel. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park with military honors. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers will be David Wilson, Johnny Wilson, David Eller, Shawn McLean, Quentin McLean, Billy Faulkner, Ray Bowman and William McLean.
