Noah Jeff Jefferson Davis

Mr. Davis was born in Gaston County to the late George Marshall Davis and Nellie Craft Davis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William “Bill” Burtus Davis and his step-mother, Ruth Boyd Davis. He was retired from the City of Lenoir Street Dept, a long time member of the First Advent Christian Church and Calvary Advent Christian Church, a member and past president of the Cajah’s Mountain Lion’s Club and a member of the British Motor Club.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Hunsucker Davis of the home; a daughter, Jennifer Davis and her husband Chris Scruggs of Lenoir; a brother, George Harold Davis and his wife Randee of Lenoir; a sister-in-law, Mary Davis of Gastonia; two grandchildren, Tanner and Tristan Scruggs and nieces, Beth Houston, Cindy Price and Allyson Davis.

A funeral service will be held Friday, February 19, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in Pendry’s Chapel with the Reverend Jim Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 18, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Pendry’s Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers will be A. V. Soots, Estel Osborne, Chris Scruggs, Harding Clark, Jr., Pete Craft, Juan Vasquez and Garry Lee. Honorary pallbearers will be the employees of the City of Lenoir Public Works and Street Dept.
