Rachel Sue Price

Mrs. Price was born in Caldwell County to the late John Wilson White and Bertha Mae Mathis White. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Bobby and Boyce White, and a sister, Louise Pennell. She was a homemaker, attended Whitnel First Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, David William Price of the home; her daughters, Deborah Renn and husband John of Granite Falls, and Kim Huffman and husband Randy of Lenoir; her step-son, Ryan Price of Knightdale, NC; her brother, Leonard White and wife Trudy of Granite Falls; her grandchildren, Joshua Lackey and wife Christine of Taylorsville, Emily Durmire and husband Brent of Taylorsville, Travis Huffman of Lenoir, Holden Huffman of Lenoir, Liam Price of Knightdale; great grandchildren, Abbie Gilley of Lansing, NC and Mac Lackey of Taylorsville.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, February 19, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in Pendry’s Chapel with Reverend Stuart White and Reverend Steve Hedgecock officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 18, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Holden Huffman, Travis Huffman, Ryan Price, Brent Durmire, Joshua Lackey and Chris Adkins.

The family requests that memorials be made to the Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care, 902 Kirkwood Street, Lenoir, NC 28645.
