

Mr. Hines was born in Caldwell County to the late Vernon McDowell Hines and Frances Faries Hines.
Mr. Hines was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Boy scouts of America. He also loved going fishing and enjoyed creating artistic paintings.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of twenty seven years, Lynn Lamkin Hines of the home; a son, Jeff Hines and wife Tammy of Lenoir; a daughter, Ginger Crisp of Lenoir; two granddaughters, Tiffany Hines and Katy Crisp of Lenoir; a brother, Michael Hines and wife Patricia of Arlington, VA; and a niece, Marianne Tolosa and nephew, Matthew Hines. Also left to cherish his memory are his aunt Helen Justice of Lenoir and many friends and extended family.
Funeral Service for Mr. Hines will be held Tuesday, May, 14, 2013 at 4 o’clock pm in Pendry’s Chapel with Reverend David Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Belleview Cemetery in Lenoir. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at Pendry’s Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Pete Yount, Martin Benfield, Ronnie Craig, Odell Watson, Ashton Barlowe and Matthew Hines.
Serving as Honorary pallbearers will be Howell “Bugsy” Justice, Clarence Curtis, Steve McCorkle and Mike Triplett.
Memorials may be made to the Masonic Lodge at 721 Main St. E Valdese, NC 28690; to be used toward the many charities that the Masonic Lodge contributes to yearly, including St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and many other charities.
