Mr. Robert "Buddy" Lee Moore Jr, 79 of Lenoir, North Carolina passed away peacefully on July 16, 2025 while at AMOREM Hospice in Hudson, surrounded by his loving wife and daughters, after a battle with stage 4 prostate cancer. Buddy was born August 7, 1945 in Iredell County to the late Robert Lee Moore Sr. and the late Lora Money Moore.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, David and Charles Moore.
Buddy was a devoted husband and father, always a hard worker and provider for his family. He spent many years working in the furniture Industry at Singer Furniture and later at Thomasville Furniture.
In his spare time, he loved working on classic cars, bringing them back to life.
Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife, Sandra Locklear Moore of the home, daughters, Melanie Moore of Lenoir, Amy Koontz and husband Mark of Salisbury, brothers, Donald Moore and wife Pat of Statesville, Jerry Moore and wife Louise of Olin, Larry Moore, Ray Moore, Gary Moore and wife Cherry, all of Statesville, sisters, Mildred Sue Williams of Harmony, Betty Smith and husband Leonard, Patsy Marlowe all of Statesville and Kay Wimbley and husband Lee of Claremont.
A Memorial Service will be held to honor Buddy on Monday, July 21, 2025 at 2:00 at Union Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Sam Craven and Rev. Jeff Lambert officiating.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the church.
