Sheila Perkins Stone, age 89, of Lenoir went to her Heavenly home on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at UNC Health Blue Ridge. Sheila was born on September 11, 1935, in Hickory to the late Norwood and Nell Perkins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Janet Martin.
Left to cherish Sheila's memory are her sons Mike Stone (wife Jeannie), Dave Stone (wife Deborah), Mark Stone (wife Lisa), Jonathan Stone, and Jimmy Stone (wife Ella), her grandchildren Tommy, Travis, Kaitlyn, Mason, and Samuel, her great-grandchildren Thomas, Trenton, Kylie, and Graham.
Sheila was a tireless worker and a dedicated mother and employee. Up until she was 84 years old, she worked at the Caldwell County Register of Deeds and at Walmart. She will be remembered for her love and dedication to her family.
A Celebration of Life will be held privately at a later date, in keeping with Sheila's wishes.
