Vera Jean Miller Eller, age 90, of Wilkes County, went home to be with God on Monday, October 1, 2018 at her residence.

Born in Caldwell County, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Robert Broadus Miller and Bertha Lou Estes Miller. She was loved and greatly respected in her community. She was a member of New Beginnings Church in Hickory, North Carolina. Vera enjoyed gardening, Bible study, Flea Marketing and socializing with family and friends.

She leaves behind three children, Jean Gause and husband Dennis, Doug Eller and wife Belvaree, and Dolores Eller and husband Pete Kaczmarczyk; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 12:00pm at Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home Chapel. Pastors Paul David Kurts and Mitchel McCoy will officiate. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 11:00am to 12:00pm.
