Wanda Louise (Annas) Baker

Wanda Louise Annas Baker, age 85, of Sawmills passed away on Friday, April 15, 2022 at her residence. Wanda was born Tuesday September 22, 1936 in Caldwell County to the late Mary Lou Sullivan and Percy Durante Annas.

An addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her late husband Robert “Bob” Ferrell Baker, siblings, Charles Annas, Peggy Wallace and Marietta Jones.

Wanda will be remembered for gardening vegetables and flowers. She enjoyed spending her free time watching birds. She had a love for cats and would be sure to feed every neighborhood cat that came around. She was a member of Philadelphia Lutheran Church where she was a part of a Women’s Bible Club.

She is survived by her brother Wesley Annas of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, along with a number of nephew and nieces.

Funeral services will be held at Philadelphia Lutheran Church 52 Pinewood Rd, Granite Falls, NC 28630 on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at 12:00 pm with Rev. Diane Cline officiating.

Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery 1787 Cajahs Mountain Rd, Hudson, NC 28638

The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm at the church.
