

BRIANT WILLIAMS STRINGAM, much loved father, grandfather and brother, passed away July 10th, 2004. He was born in Glenwood, Alberta February 2nd, 1912 to George Lewis and Sarah Lovina Stringam. He married Ruby Larrain Anderson July 22nd, 1937 in the Cardston, Alberta Temple.
Briant received his Arts and Law degrees from the University of Alberta in 1935, and a teaching credential from Calgary Normal School in 1936.
Briant taught in Glenwood, Stirling, and Lethbridge. He practiced law in Cardston and eventually established the law firm Stringam and Deneky in Lethbridge.
He served in many church capacities, and with Ruby fulfilled a mission in Columbus, Ohio in 1981.
Briant enjoyed the performing arts, fishing, hiking, and traveling. He was well read and could find any information in his extensive library.
In the later years, he took long walks in the river valley and enjoyed the flowers and birds.
Briant loved being with his family. Surviving siblings are: Owen Stringam (Centerville, UT); Elwood Stringam (Surrey, B.C.); Mary Russell (Diamond City); Mark Stringam (Taber). He is also survived by his children: Elaine (Bert) Piepgrass of Cardston; Kathryn (Doug) Castleton of Sandy, UT; Mary Jane (David) Lamoreaux of Sandy, UT; Sarah (Robert) Williams of Edmonton; and Charlotte (Jerry) Sanders of Oliver, B.C. His posterity also includes 37 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren.
The family expresses appreciation to the caregivers and medical staff for their competent and sensitive support.
