

David was born in Lethbridge on April 2, 1951 and grew up on the family farm north of Stirling and attended Stirling School. He attended the University of Washington before traveling extensively throughout Europe and Mexico. He then married and settled on his own farm north of Judson where he built the family farm and raised his four children. In 1994 he sold the farm and moved to Calgary returning to school at SAIT and later working for Jayman Master Builder as a construction superintendent. In the later years of his life he returned to farming, doing custom combining work in Alberta and the Midwest U.S. He enjoyed spending time in his trailer, especially at the campground at Chin Lake, where he spent many days throughout his life. He also enjoyed music, baseball and was an avid reader, his favorite author being Mark Twain, and spending time with his children and grandson.
David is survived by his four children, Erin McGlenn, Danny (Cheyenne) McGlenn, Avery (David Racine) McGlenn and Stephen McGlenn, grandson Ross McGlenn, mother Helen McGlenn, sister Nancy (Roger) Schnoor, brother Bob (June) McGlenn, several nieces and nephews, Selk and Hirsche cousins.
He was predeceased by his father Gerry McGlenn.
Memorial services will be held in the chapel at Christensen Salmon Funeral Home, 327 – 10 Street South, Lethbridge, on Wednesday, August 29, 2007 at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a memorial donation to the Canadian Cancer Society, 317 – 10 Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta, T1J 2M7.
