Doris Hunsaker Matkin

On Monday, February 18, 2002, our beloved Mother, DORIS H. MATKIN passed away at the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton at the age of 94 years.

A long time resident of Lethbridge, Doris was born July 26, 1907, in Barnwell, Alberta. She was widowed twice. First husband William E. Hunsaker predeceased her in 1945 and second husband Heber J. Matkin in 1987.

She is survived by her daughter Darlene Munro Boyson of Edmonton and her son Vaughn Edward (Loye) Hunsaker of Moses Lake, Washington, and grandchildren Vaughn (Rita) Munro of Edmonton; Heather (John) Young of the Russia Moscow Mission; Breck (Dixie) Hunsaker of Preston, Idaho; Steven (Susan) Hunsaker of Rexburg, Idaho; Kimberly (Julio) Vela of Woodburn, Oregon; Scott (Melanie) Hunsaker of Twin Falls, Idaho; Kristin (Glenn) Hammond of Savoy, Illinois and twenty-one great grandchildren; brothers Douglas (Georgina) Anderson of Salt Lake City and Willard (Leora) Anderson of Kelowna, BC; and sister-in-law Arminta Earl of Lethbridge; stepchildren and in-laws Lamont (Rhea) Matkin of Lethbridge, Eva Thompson of Cardston, Lorna (Dick) James of Rock Springs, Wyoming, Ruth (Gary) Anderson of Barnwell and Clara Matkin of Cardston and their families.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS, Lethbridge Stake Centre. Interment to follow in the Mountain View Cemetery, Lethbridge.
