

He is survived by his daughters: Mryna (Morgan) Stringam, of Bountiful, Utah, Brenda (Glen) Gibb of Coaldale, Sherryn (Carl) Kern of Rosemary and fourteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren; and sisters-in-law Venla Crapo of Cardston, AB, Evelyn (Peter) Tarp of Kamloops, BC and Barbara Phillips of Big River, SK.
He was predeceased by his wife, Laila and one granddaughter, Kerry Kern.
Gordon was born 12 August 1914 in Trochu, AB. He was raised in Big River, SK. He was a volunteer in the Princess Patricia Tank Regiment and served three years overseas in WWII. In 1946 he married Laila Crapo, of Calgary and moved to the Rosemary district where he farmed for the next 48 years.
He was an active member of the LDS Church and the Rosemary Senior Citizens. Gordon was a gentle husband and father, and will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Funeral services will held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 8, 2004 at the ROSEMARY LDS CHAPEL, with Bishop Mark Watson officiating. Interment to follow in the Rosemary Cemetery. Friends may meet the family prior to the service from 12:00 to 12:40 p.m.
