Aaron Paul Hudson

Funeral services for Aaron Paul Hudson,87, of Sundown, Texas will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, April 18, 2012 in the First Baptist Church of Sundown with Reverend Randy Winfrey, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in City of Sundown Cemetery under direction of George Price Funeral Home, Levelland, Texas. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. He died Monday, April 16, 2012 in Levelland, Texas.

Mr. Hudson was born on July 31, 1924 in Portales, New Mexico to Paul Grady and Bertha Maude (Epperson) Hudson. He was raised in the West Texas area and then entered the U.S. Marine Corps in Brownfield, Texas. He earned a Purple Heart. He returned from the service and began working with his family on the family farm. He married Elmeda Sue DeLong on March 25, 1949 in Corinth, Mississippi. He then went to work in the oilfield and retired from Tenneco in 1987. He was preceded in death by two brothers: I.B. (Ben) Hudson and Earnest Hudson; a sister: Vera Hart and a grandson: Paul Comer.

Survivors include: his wife: Elmeda Sue Hudson of Sundown, Texas; four daughters: Lorienda Comer of Sundown, Texas; Linda Farda and her husband, Tom of Lorena, Texas; Brenda Hudson of Austin, Texas; and Debbie Deathridge and her husband, Jim of Wichita Falls, Texas; five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
