Dan Patrick Medford, 92, of Sundown passed away in Levelland on November 7, 2015. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, November 9, 2015, at Sundown Cemetery. Dan was born near Temple, Texas to Dan and Virsta Medford on April 17, 1923. He moved to Hockley County when he was 15 years old and was a retired farmer. He married Betty Grubbs on December 23, 1953 in Clovis, New Mexico. Dan volunteered for Meals on Wheels and The Food Box. He was a senior volunteer and member of First Baptist Church in Sundown. He loved to fish and garden. Dan is survived by his wife, Betty; one brother and his wife, Albert and Norma Medford of Rankin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
