David Stafford

Funeral services for David Thornton Stafford, 78, of Levelland went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 27, 2014. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, March 1, 2014 at First Assembly of God Church, Levelland, Texas. Graveside services will be Sunday, March 2, 2014 in Cottonwood Cemetery, Bryson, Texas.

He was born in Morton, Texas on October 31, 1935 to Bolden Greene and Ruby Elmira Stafford. He was raised in Bryson, Texas before moving to Spade, Texas. He married Nancy Hiberd on January 24, 1954. They recently celebrated 61 years of marriage. He owned and operated gas station in Littlefield before moving to Levelland in 1970. He was an animal lover and advocate, feeding and loving every stray he came across. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, his daughter, Debbie Graf and grandsons, Kane Stafford and Dylan Baker.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy, his daughters: Brenda Baker and her husband Bill and Karen McKenzie, and his son, Keith Stafford and his wife, DeAnna, his grandchildren: Kyla Baker, Laurie Key, Jace and Melissa Baker, Seth and Missy Graf, Kristin Soto, Amie Stafford. Ashleigh and Michael Ferguson, Michael Stafford, Tanner McKenzie, Jessi Stafford, and Zane Stafford, as well as fourteen great grandchildren.
