

Funeral services Elige W. (PeeWee) Roe, 80 of Sundown will be at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at First Baptist Church, Levelland with Dr. Sammy Elliott and Rev. Glen Smith, officiating. Burial will be in Sundown Cemetery under direction of George Price Funeral Home, Levelland. The family will receive visitors at the church from 10:00 am until noon, on Tuesday. He died Saturday, December 28, 2013.
Elige was born on September 5, 1933 to Sam and Zora Roe in Wharton County, Texas. He married MaryAnn Christopher on June 4, 1951 and they had two daughters. Later he married Glenna Craddock on December 22, 1995. He went to work for Lyntegar Electric in Tahoka in 1956 and in 1967 he moved to Sundown where he was Branch Manager. He retired in October of 1995. Pee Wee was active in the Sundown Community, serving on the Chamber of Commerce, the Lions Club, the Hockley County Appraisal Board, and had served on the Sundown School Board. He was a former deacon of First Baptist Church, Sundown and a Mason.
To say Pee Wee was a good man is an understatement. He was a loyal and unconditionally loving husband, father, and friend.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Glenna, two daughters, Barbara Roe and Angela Lopez and her husband Herman; three stepchildren: Bill Craddock and his wife, Rita, Debbie McCaghren, and Bob Craddock and his wife, Regina, five sisters: Inez Gandy, Pat Callaway, Emily Bivens, Ruby Cruz, and Phyllis Cummins, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to Hockley County Meals on Wheels, Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch, the First Baptist Church, Levelland or to a favorite charity.
