Elizabeth "Betty" Audry Gleeson Demel

Funeral services for Elizabeth “Betty” Demel, 75, of Levelland are 10:00 am Saturday, May 8, 2010 at St. Phillip Neri Catholic Church in Pep. Burial will follow in the Pep Cemetery under direction of George Price Funeral Home. Rosary service will be at 7:00 pm Friday, May 7, 2010 at the funeral home. She died on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.

Betty was born on February 3, 1935 in Theresa, New York. She married Ralph Matt Demel, Sr. on May 8, 1954. He preceded her in death on April 13, 2002. She had lived in Levelland since 1994. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and an aunt, Hannah Gleeson.

Betty is survived by her children, Karen Demel Buss of Idlewilde, CA, John Wade Demel of Encinitas, CA, Catherine Taliaferro and husband Tom of Santa Barbara, CA, Ralph Matt Demel, Jr. of Encinitas, CA, and Erin Mulkey and husband David of Levelland.
