Funeral services for Jackie D. Smith, 60, of Levelland will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, August 25, 2010 in George Price Funeral Chapel with Rev. Roy Prather, pastor, Fifth St. Baptist Church, Levelland, officiating. He died Saturday, August 21, 2010 in Lubbock, Texas.
He was born on June 11, 1950 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to A. W. (Dick) and June Duke Smith. He graduated from Levelland High School in 1969. He was a US Navy veteran. Jackie had worked in the oilfield for a number of years and was currently employed by Turner Farms as a truck driver.
He is survived by three brothers, David Smith and wife Quita of Ira, Texas and Robert Smith and Gary Smith both of Lubbock, Texas and a number of nieces and nephews.
