Joe Teeters

Funeral services for Joe Teeters, 82, of Levelland will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at Second Baptist Church, Levelland, Texas with Rev. Mike Holster, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in City of Levelland Cemetery under direction of George Price Funeral Home, Levelland. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Monday, November 4, 2013 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. He died Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Levelland.

Joe was born on February 8, 1931 in Thomas, Oklahoma and moved to Levelland as a young child. He graduated from Levelland High School and Texas Tech and received his master’s degree from West Texas State.

He taught in the Levelland School System for 37 years. Joe was a U.S. Army Veteran. He married Wanda Curl on November 15, 1954 in Arkansas and she preceded him in death on February 24, 1996. He was a member of Second Baptist Church, Levelland.

Survivors include his son: Steve Teeters of Lubbock, Texas, his grandson, Seth Teeters, also of Lubbock and his brother in law: Carlin Curl of Levelland, Texas.

The family suggests memorials to Hospice of Lubbock, 1102 Slide Road, Lubbock, Texas 79407.
