
J. Albert Schulze, age 101, of Levelland, died Thursday, June 4, 2015. Burial service will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, June 6, 2015, in the City of Levelland Cemetery, 1500 block Ave. H), under the direction of George Price Funeral Home, Levelland. At. 4:00 p.m. there will be a Celebration of Life Service with Pastor Amanda Ullrich officiating and retired Pastor Will Biggott of Kerrville, Texas; and there will also be a family visitation following the service at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Sundown Highway (FM 300 and Ave. I). Albert was born in Killeen, Texas April 2, 1914 to Alfred and Elsa (Meyer) Schulze. Albert married Margaret Sirkel on December 18, 1937 in Temple, Texas. They moved from Knippa to the Levelland area in December of 1942 and raised their children and farmed here for over 30 years, before retiring and moving into town and enjoyed many years of fishing and travel. They were longtime members of St. Paul Lutheran Church, which Albert helped to build. He was precede in death by his beloved wife, Margaret, his parents, his sisters: Laura Peebles, Gladys Lumpkin, Evenly Turnbo and Velma Schulze; and a grandson, Gary Shulze. Survivors include two sons, Ben Schulze of Odessa, Texas, and Jerry Schulze of Nacogdoches, Texas; a daughter, Dianne McMurry of Murphy, Texas; 2 sisters, LaVerne Flentge of Harker Heights Texas and Irene Meredith of Austin, Texas; 9 granchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations bee made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Sundown Hwy, Levelland, Texas 79336, or to your favorite charity.
