LIllie Lorene Logsdon Autry

Lillie Lorene Logsdon Autry, 99, passed away in Lubbock, Texas on January 12, 2016. A family visitation will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2016, from 5:00-7:00 pm at George Price Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 15, 2016, at the George Price Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the City of Level-land Cemetery. Lorene was born August 12, 1916 in Weatherford, Texas to parents George and Fannie (Hankins) Dobbs. She married E.L. “Slim” Logsdon on October 31, 1937 in Levelland. He preceded her in death on July 4, 1970. Lorene was the manager of Dairy Mart for 13 years. On September 15, 1989, Lorene married James L. Autry in Lubbock, Texas. He passed away June 1, 1995. Lorene was a long-time member of Rebekah Lodge #5 and held numerous offices. She was a faithful member of Second Baptist Church in Levelland and a resident of Hockley County for 90 years. Lorene loved Texas Tech Lady Raider basketball and a friend to all she met. Lorene was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, sons Alvin L and Jimmy W., brother Melvin Dobbs, sister Viola Randle and granddaughter Kelly Jo McCauley. Left to cherish her memory are daughter, Kaye Hobgood and husband Wesley of Lubbock, Texas; daughter-in-law, Jean Logsdon; grandchildren, Mark Hobgood, Cynthia Strauss, Kelly Logsdon, Terry Logsdon, Lisa Logsdon, Tim Logsdon and Kathy McCauley; great-grandchildren, Derek, Jeffrey, Justine, Cody, Christopher and Williem.
