Lloyd Ray McGann

A Celebration of Life Service for Lloyd R. McGann, Sr., 98, of Levelland (formerly of Vernon) will be held at George Price Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, July 20, 2015, at 3 PM with services performed by Elgin Conner. Burial will be held Tuesday, July 21, 2015, at Wilbarger Memorial Park in Vernon, Texas at 2 PM. Lloyd passed away at Levelland Nursing and Rehabilitation with his sons by his side on Thursday, July 16. 2015. He was born on March 2, 1917 in Omaha Texas to John Thomas and Melisa Ann Boswell McGann. Lloyd attended school until 7th grade when he began working to support his family. He was married to Daisy Morell. He served three years as an M.P. and one year infantry during WWII. Lloyd started working as a brick layer to support his family and then later worked in the family construction business. Some of his memorable achievements were the concrete runways at Shepherd AFB and Altus AFB prior to his military service. After his military service his work can be seen in numerous places including Vernon, Altus, Tipton and many other locations. Lloyd is survived by his sons, Bobby McGann of Levelland and Lloyd Ray McGann, Jr. of Levelland; grandchildren, Brian and Brigitte McGann, Brad McGann, Brandon McGann, Brittany and Brandan Honesto, Jennifer and Tom Stallings, Ted Robin McGann and Justin and Jamie Thompson; great-grandchildren, Troy McGann, Tyler McGann, Donovan McGann, D’Nae Honesto, Jaxson Honesto, Jace Thompson, Julia Thompson, Haley Stallings and Gavin Stallings; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Daisy Morell McGann; his brothers John McGann, Murray McGann, W.T. Bill McGann; and his sisters Floy Young and Faye Aldridge. Pallbearers will be Brian McGann, Brad McGann, Brandon McGann, Brandan Honesto, Ted Robin McGann, Troy McGann, and Tyler McGann.
