Memorial services for Scott Lawrence Kirby II of Anton, Texas will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, May 19, 2012 in George Price Funeral Chapel, Levelland, Texas. Cremation services are under direction of George Price Funeral Home, Levelland, Texas with Reverend Roger Thompson officiating. He died Thursday, May 10, 2012 in Levelland, Texas.

Scott was born on June 6, 1946 in Tucumcari, New Mexico to John Lawrence and Jackie Lenoll (Wasson) Kirby. Upon graduation from High School he attended Eastern New Mexico University, Portales, NM where he obtained a dual Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Religion. He married Ruth Ellis on March 17, 1978 in Clovis, New Mexico and they moved to Levelland from Canyon, Texas in 1999. He was a Licensed Baptist minister. Scott was in the Boy Scouts of America and then he became a Troop Leader and Professional Scouter.

Survivors include his wife: Ruth Kirby of Anton, Texas, two daughters: Sherry Seigman and her husband, Kevin of Eula, Texas; and Brenda Jordan and her husband, Dale of Levelland, Texas; a brother: William C. (Bill) Kirby and his wife, Rebecca of Joshua, Texas; four grandchildren: Nate, Brittany, Ashton, and Cacey; one niece, two nephews, a great niece, Patty and a great nephew: Joey.

The family suggests memorials to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
