Allen "Butch" Pleva

Allen B. "Butch" Pleva of Levittown died on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at St. Mary Medical Center. He was 70.Born in Trenton, NJ, Allen Pleva has been a resident of Levittown since 1974.He was a 1963 graduate of Delhaas High School and attended Penn State University - Ogontz Campus.Allen was a U.S. Navy veteran serving on the USS Oriskany during the Vietnam era.Allen worked for U.S. Steel from 1964 until the time of his retirement. He then worked for B & S Sheet Metal and Mechanical and the K-Mart Distribution Center in Morrisville.He enjoyed traveling and doing home projects. Allen also enjoyed watching football, playing pinochle, sailing and boating. Allen's fondest memories included summers with family and friends in his back yard pool. Allen is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years Linda A. (Ulakovic) Pleva; his son Christian D. Pleva and his fiancee Melissa and her children Tre and Jordan; his daughter Alysun N. Pleva; and his sister Diana Gore.He was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Stasia.Family and friends are invited to call Monday from 6 until 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9 until 10 a.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown. His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, 10:30 a.m. at Queen of the Universe Church followed by Rite of Committal at Resurrection Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Women's Humane Society, 3839 Richlieu Road, PO Box 1470, Bensalem, PA 19020 or St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne Newtown Rd., Langhorne, PA 19047
