Anna C. Ashton, of Levittown, died on Monday, May 31, 2010 at her home surrounded by her family. She was 82. Born in Philadelphia, Mrs. Ashton was an original Levittown homeowner residing in the Crabtree section since 1954. She was the secretary at St. Michael the Archangel School for over 30 years. She enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles, but mostly she loved to be with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Ashton was the loving mother of Carol Ashton of Bensalem, Christopher Ashton of Verona, Kentucky, Cathleen Evans of Morrisville and the late Claire M. Zimnoch. She is also survived by her very dear niece, Donna Williams. She was the devoted mom-mom of Michael Hanna, Kathryn Morano, Melissa Groff, David Gecht, Christina Yerkes, Katie Gecht, Elisabeth Sherwin, Annie Ashton, Maggie Corcoran, Claire Ashton and Christopher Ashton and is also survived by 12 great grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Thursday from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown. Interment is private.
