Arline Rogowicz Kobal passed away on Thursday, June 17, 2021 from complications of heart failure. She died peacefully in her home holding hands with her three children, Joanna (Ron), David (Amy) and John (Sharon). She is also survived by seven grandchildren as well as three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, George; sisters, Laura Sherin and Josephine (Tina) Peterfreund and brothers, Joseph and Edward Rogowicz.
Arline was born on September 26, 1929 in Glen Lyon, PA to Celia (Dutch) and Edward Rogowicz. She attended Newport High School graduating in 1948. On a blind date she met and later married George Kobal of Nanticoke, PA. They moved to Levittown in 1955 to the Vermilion Hills home where she remained for 66 years. Arline worked early on at Trenton National Bank but left to start a family. Later on she took part-time work as a childcare provider, then bookkeeper. When she was 50, she went back to work full-time at Wachovia, later Wells Fargo Bank in Trenton from which she retired.
Arline, nicknamed "Babe", will be remembered as a loving, devoted mother, cherished grandmother and sweet great-grandmother. Throughout her life, Arline blessed everyone privileged to know her with goodness, her generosity, great kindness and her selfless, unlimited and unconditional love. She always cared more about others than about herself. With her vivacious personality and infinite capacity for love, she provided a sound foundation for her family and many friends.
Socially, Arline enjoyed participating in many groups - from her bridge club and neighborhood friends, to a ceramics group and her breakfast club. She got particular joy from helping to decorate the Pennsbury High School for each of her childrens' proms as well as vacationing at the Jersey shore. She enjoyed traveling quite a bit later in life, visiting Alaska, Maine, Arizona, Texas, Massachusetts, Georgia and South Carolina, Colorado and California. Also, she took particular pride in the fact that she and George were present for the births of each of their seven grandchildren.
Everyone loved and respected Arline. She was devoted to her family and they were devoted to her. She has left an enormous void and will be greatly missed. Now she has gone on to make even Heaven a better place. As we grieve together, we will celebrate the memories, the laughter and the love we each shared with Arline.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, June 24, 2021, from 8:30 until 9:30 am at Saint Frances Cabrini Church, 325 S. Oxford Valley Road, Fairless Hills, where her funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:30 am. The Rite of Committal will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Newtown.
