Barbara J. MurphyBarbara J. Murphy died surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at Saint Mary Medical Center in Langhorne. She was 56.Born in Bristol, Barbara was formerly of Fairless Hills prior to moving to Yardley 14 years ago.She was a Project Control Specialist in Design and Construction at Princeton University.Barbara enjoyed bowling, cooking and shopping. She also loved summers in Myrtle Beach, SC and Sunday dinners with the family.Beloved wife of 32 years to Richard, Barbara was the loving mother of Erin and Pam Murphy of Yardley and Lexi Murphy of Stamford Ct. She was the devoted grandmother of Taylor, Ava and Emma and dear daughter of Stephen Clark (Nancy) of Levittown.Barbara will also be sadly missed by her sister Lynn Sabo of Levittown; brother, Stephen Clark, Jr. (Lorraine) of Charlotte, NC; mother and father-in-law, Richard and Margaret Murphy; sisters-in-law, Patty Jo Zackowksi (John), Carol Drumm and Kathy Wiegner (Joe); several nieces and nephews; and her canine companion, Bailey.She was predeceased by her mother Betty Jean Clark; sister, Mary Beth Snelson; brother-in-law, Alfred Sabo; and niece, April Zackowski.Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, from 6:00 until 9:00 pm and again on Saturday, from 9:00 until 10:00 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where her funeral service will be held on Saturday, at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 480 Norristown Road, Suite 150, Blue Bell, PA 19422.
