Bernadette "Bunny" Agnes Trapp died, surrounded by her loving family, on Monday, October 5, 2015 at Aria Health Bucks Campus. She was 89. Born in Philadelphia to Herbert and Anna (Demling) Schute, Bernadette was an original Levittown homeowner who resided in her home for 62 years, and cherished every minute of it. She was a member of the former Saint Joseph the Worker Parish, and a current member of Saint Frances Cabrini Parish. During her lifetime, she was involved with the Falls Township Senior Center and several bowling leagues. She enjoyed taking trips to the casino and playing the lottery, to which she always claimed that she missed hitting the big jackpot by one number. But raising her six children and spending time with her beloved grandchildren were her greatest joys in life. Her caring manner and tender ways will be sadly missed by everyone. Beloved wife of the late Louis C. Trapp, Bernadette is the loving mother of Richelle Nez (Jim), Alicia Scott (Jack), Renee McGuffin (Brian), Colette Filoon (John), Thomas (Maryellen) and William (Bridget) Trapp. She will also be sadly missed by her fifteen grandchildren: Loretta (Steve) Osterhout, Andrew, Cara, Meghan McGuffin, Rachael (Michael) Mattone, Christian (Megan), John Louis, Peter, Sean Filoon, Ryan, Sarah, Emma, Timothy Trapp, Thomas McCue, and Madison Trapp; her nine great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, Oct. 9, from 7:00 until 9:00 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. Friends may also call again on Saturday, Oct. 10, from 8:30 until 9:30 a.m. at Saint Frances Cabrini Church, 325 South Oxford Valley Road, Fairless Hills, where her funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. The Rite of Committal will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Bensalem. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Catholic Family Services, 100 Levittown Parkway, Levittown, PA 19054.
