Betty Lou Gibson, of Columbus, NJ, died on Monday, November 14, 2011 at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, NJ. She was 76. Mrs. Gibson was born and raised in Detroit, MI and also lived in Miami, Florida for a time. She moved to Lower Bucks County in 1963 residing in the Pinewood and Cobalt Ridge sections for many years before moving to Columbus, NJ 10 years ago. Mrs. Gibson was employed as a purchasing agent with Firmenich, Inc. in Plainsboro, NJ for over 20 years until retiring. She was a member of Columbus Methodist Church on Jacksonville Road in Columbus and was also a member of the Bristol Senior Citizens. She most enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as traveling, cross-stitch, needle point and crosswords. She was the wife of the late William J. Perera and the late Jeffrey L. Barker. Mrs. Gibson is survived by her husband Francis D. Gibson Jr., four children, three stepchildren, ten grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
