It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carol E. Burke, affectionately known as “Carrie,” a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was long time resident of Levittown, PA. Carrie was born in Phoenixville and raised in Croydon, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Delhaas High School in the Class of 1979.
Carrie devoted her life to being a stay-at-home mom, a role she embraced with unmatched love and dedication. Her greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she absolutely adored.
Carrie had a unique and beautiful way of seeing the world—always through rose-colored glasses. Her warmth, nurturing spirit, and unwavering belief in the goodness of others made her a source of comfort and joy to everyone who knew her.
Carrie was the loving wife of Sean Burke, with whom she shared 16 cherished years of marriage before his passing in 1995. She is also predeceased by her beloved children Shane, Sean M., and twins Jacqueline and Sean; her parents Carol and Rudy Walker; and her siblings Rudolph, Michael, and Jackie.
Carrie is survived by her daughter, Danielle Zerbe (Jason), and her legacy continues through her beloved grandchildren: Joshua, Christian, Evan, Brendin, Ava, Jaxon, Makenzie, and Joanne. She is the cherished sister of Susan Pierro (Richard) and Daniel Walker (Shauna). Carrie also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, each of whom she loved dearly and held close to her heart. She is also survived by a large extended family including aunts, uncles, great nieces and nephews, and cousins.
A gravide memorial service for Carrie will be held Friday, May 2nd, 2025 at 2pm, at Pine Grove Cemetery, 1475 W. County Line Road, Hatboro, PA 19040.
In honor of Carrie’s kind and generous spirit, the family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to her family via Susan Pierro.
Carrie will be remembered always for her loving heart, her bright spirit, and the deep affection she gave so freely. She lives on in the memories of those who loved her—and in the hearts of the generations she helped shape.
