Chuck was predeceased by his loving parents, Joseph Vogt and Doris (Killian) Vogt. He is survived by his devoted wife Joan (Shirk). He was the most amazing father to Mary Vogt and an incredible grandfather to Anthony Aponte. He is also survived by his heartbroken siblings Joann Kubrak (Bon), Joseph Vogt, Dolores Philpot (Tim), Jackie Mullen (Tommy), and Virginia Briscella (Gino). Chuck was also loved greatly by his nieces, nephews, and cousins. His presence will be greatly missed by his entire family.
Chuck dedicated 35 years of his life to the Philadelphia Police Department and was an active Captain on the force up until his death. He was the “go-to” guy and praised highly by his colleagues.
Chuck always stressed the importance of education. He earned his masters degree from Holy Family University and was a former ad-hoc professor at the university as well.
While he was an accomplished man, he will be most remembered as the devoted patriarch of his family. His love for his family was his driving force and he was their true leader. He was the most reliable man who somehow was able to “fix” everything. All of his family members will miss him more than words could ever explain.
