Dixon Parker "Dix" Blanchard, Jr., of Levittown, died on Monday, August 13, 2012 at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne. He was 73. Born in Harrisburg, PA, Dix was a Levittown resident for over 50 years. He served in the US Navy and worked as a diesel mechanic for more than 40 years at US Steel before he retired. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who also enjoyed auto racing but most of all he loved spending time with his family. Dix was the devoted husband of 50 years to Jerry Ann Blanchard (nee Carter) and the beloved father of Tammy (Jack) Mattes, Tina (Greg) Hutchinson and Thomas Blanchard. He will also be sadly missed by his grandchildren: John and Kimberly Mattes, and Jason, Ashley, Ryan and Ethan Mawhinney. Services and interment will be held privately by the wishes of his family.
