

Born May 8, 1952, he was preceded in death by his father, Frederick G Neuner Sr and his mother Katherine N Raspotnik. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Karen (Rouse); six children Dawn (Matt), Donald Jr, Melinda (Rocco), Christopher (Stephanie), Brian (Diana) and Stacy (Ryan). Also survived by 14 grandchildren Kali, Rocco, Rylee, Christopher, Jackson, Lucas, Brian, Damian, Julia, Emmitt, Christian, Liliana, Olivia and Sarah and 3 great-grandchildren Anthony, Aubree and Stephen. He is survived by his two sisters Nioma (Heins) & Brenda (Jim) and two brothers Robert & Fred.
After graduating high school, Don joined the Navy and served in Vietnam. After his military career, he worked as a welder for the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard. After leaving the shipyard, he became a welder for the Operating Engineers Local 542 and the Laborers Union.
He was an avid hunter and a diehard Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He would often be found singing his golden oldies with them and getting them to sing along. Don loved to cook, after retiring, and enjoyed making strombolis, pizzas and pastries, which he would give to family and friends. He is missed terribly and will always be remembered as a loving husband, father and doting grandfather and great-grandfather.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at 11:30 am at Washington Crossing National Cemetery. All attending are requested to be at the main office at 11:15 am.
