Born in Philadelphia, PA and raised in Bucks County, Doris was a resident of Levittown for her entire life. She was a graduate of Bishop Conwell High School. She worked for logistics for both Toys R Us warehouse and Lenox warehouse. She then transitioned into working for the Pennsbury School District as an aide. Doris worked the summers at the YMCA and the Neshaminy Kids Club. She found her passion working with children while working for the Pennsbury School District and furthered her education to become a Paraprofessional, where she worked with children with autism.
Doris was an avid sports fans and enjoyed watching the Phillies and Eagles games along with watching her children, granddaughter and nieces and nephews play sports. She loved coaching softball and was the Varsity girls coach for the Pennsbury bowling team.
Doris was a member of the Lady Hibernian’s and an avid bowler. She bowled in numerous bowling leagues with her husband and friends. She also competed in a women’s bowling league where she traveled in competitive tournaments across the country. She enjoyed her Friday night book club with her friends and colleagues from Pennsbury Manor Elementary School. Her summers were spent next to the pool, where she taught, not only her children and granddaughter to swim, but also her nieces and nephews. She also enjoyed relaxing in the pool with her dogs.
You could always find Doris at family parties taking pictures, enjoying a beverage and singing and dancing with her family and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Doris Kelly, and her beloved husband, Clifford Wilson to whom she was married to for 25 years.
She is survived by her children, Nicholas Wilson (Eliza) and Amy Albertini (Thomas); her loving granddaughter, Aubrey Albertini; her mother-in-law, Virginia Wilson; 6 siblings, numerous nieces and nephews and her beloved dog Coco Bean.
Visitation will be held at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown on Thursday, April 17, 2025 from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. with a service at 11:30 a.m.
Cremation will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Doris' name to The Bucks County SPCA or Eagles Autism Fund.
