

Frank M. McHale Frank M. McHale, 85 of Langhorne, Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather died on Sunday, June 26, 2011 at his daughter's home in Levittown. Frank was born in 1925 in Philadelphia and raised in Atlantic City, NJ. In early 1942 he left Holy Spirit High School and joined the US Navy. He was a resident of Langhorne since 1962 and was a long time parishioner of Our Lady of Grace Parish. While he was in the US Navy he obtained rank of Chief Boatswain's Mate, serving aboard twelve destroyers, battleships and assault units with the Navy Armed Guard during both World War II and the Korean War. He was also a proud "Tin Can Sailor". Following his retirement from the Navy he worked at Johnsville Naval Air Development Center retiring in 1987. Frank and Pat spent their retirement traveling the USA attending as many Naval Ship reunions as possible. He is predeceased by his loving wife of fifty six years Patricia Marie (Barry) who passed this May 27th, and his parents, Francis Michael, Marie (Stackhouse), Rose (Bradbury). He is survived by his children Rosemarie Carr (John), Mike McHale (Christine), Patricia Dixon, Kitty Levitsky (Bill), Martin McHale (Michelle), Terry Greenhaw (Carlton) and Meg McHale (Dave Santini); Grandchildren, Elise, Nicholas, Kate, Christopher, Kristina, Chuckie, Keith, Dylan, Sadie, Marty, Claire, Joey, Declan, Haylie, Rowan, and great granddaughter Katie. He will also be sadly missed by his brother James F. (Carolyn) and his sister Patricia Rogers (Richard). Family and friends may call on Friday July 8, 9:15 to 10:30 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. His Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Grace Church, 225 S. Bellevue Avenue, Penndel. Rite of Committal will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery. Memorial contributions in his name may be made to the Hopkins Center, 8100 Washington Lane, Wyncote, PA 19095.
