

George E. Danka, of Bristol, died on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at Silver Lake Nursing Center. He was 77. Born and raised in Trenton, NJ, Mr. Danka moved to Middletown Township in 1958 where he resided until moving to Bristol in 1989. He was employed with PSE&G in Trenton for many years until retiring. Mr. Danka was a long time member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church where he served as a cantor and was formerly active with the church bowling league. He was a Navy veteran of Korea and was a member of American Legion Post #960. He enjoyed fishing in his spare time. Mr. Danka was the beloved husband of Margaret M. (Bardzak) Danka for 53 years. He was the loving father of Robert G. and his wife Mary Danka of Baton Rouge, LA, Judith A. and her husband Dave Dunlap of Mount Laurel, NJ, and Peggy A. Danka of Winston-Salem, NC. He was the devoted grandfather of Elizabeth and Caroline Danka and Brianna and Bryce Dunlap. He will be sadly missed by his sister Ann DeMuzio of Hoboken, NJ, his special brother-in-law Michael and his wife Sheila Bardzak of Groveville, NJ and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call Sunday from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown where a Parastas service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Friends may also call Monday from 8:30 until 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home where a Panachida service will be held at 9:30 a.m. His funeral mass will be celebrated Monday, 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church followed by Rite of Committal in Resurrection Cemetery.
