A lifelong resident of the Levittown area, he leaves behind a legacy of unwavering generosity and heartfelt joy.
After graduating from Wilson High School in 1978, George embarked on a career as a conductor with NJ Transit, a role he held with distinction for 20 years. His commitment to his vocation ensured the safety and well-being of countless passengers as they traversed the rails of New Jersey.
George will be deeply missed for his abundant generosity and his hearty, infectious laugh. His love for the Philadelphia Eagles was unmatched, and every game day he was known to cheer passionately for his beloved team. His adventurous spirit led him to explore the wonders of Europe, Ireland and Alaska. A lover of the great outdoors, George spent many a peaceful hour with a fishing rod in hand, and cherished the memories of ice skating and building forts in the woods from his boyhood days.
A regular and cherished patron of Gleason's Bar, George's presence brought warmth and camaraderie to all those he encountered. His absence will be profoundly felt within the community that he so lovingly embraced.
George was the beloved son of the late Margaret and Bernard Lazur and brother of the late Bernard J. Lazur; He is remembered as the boisterous brother of siblings: Christine Slachta, Stephen Lazur, Marge Titera, Karen Schurtz, and his nephew and honorary brother Eric Slachta; He will be lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
