

George was born in Maple Shade, NJ, to parents, George and Kathryn Philpott. He graduated from Maple Shade High School in 1960. George continued his education, graduating from Rutgers University with a bachelor’s degree, and University of Texas in Dallas with a master’s degree. He went on to establish a career as an accountant and manager of Windfall Tax Department for Mobile Oil Corporation.
George was a member of the Yantis Lions Club, Falls Township Pistol & Rifle Association, and was also an official Bass Guide. He was a lifelong fisherman and would travel nationwide and internationally for tournaments. George was a hard-working and ambitious man. He will be remembered for his kind and caring spirit, and known for helping others when he could. His fun outlook on life will live on through his family and friends.
George was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Philpot, and his parents George W. Philpott and Kathryn Philpott (nee Downs) .
George is survived by his children: June Goodman (Michael), Gregory Philpott (Julieanne), Suzanne Simons (Malcom), and George Philpott Jr; his grandchildren: Troy Dureault, Ash Rosengrant, Nicole Dureault, Aimee Dureault, Lillian Simons, and Natalia Livingston; his sister Tuff Foster; and his four beloved dogs: Benson III, Waldo, Jake, and Scarlett.
