Herman W. Leist

Herman W. Leist Herman W. Leist died on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at Chandler Hall Hospice, Newtown. He was 84. Born in Hazleton, he has resided in Levittown for the past 32 years and was a member of Immaculate Conception Parish, Levittown. Mr. Leist was a World War II veteran, having served proudly in the US Navy. He was a former member of the Fairless Hills Elks Lodge 2023 and the Bristol Moose Lodge 1169. He spent over 20 years as a sole proprietor of a collectibles and memorabilia business. Mr. Leist was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Rose (Wersinger) Leist and his beloved wife, Jeanne D. (Tulinski). He is survived by his devoted sisters, Helen L. Sharp of Levittown and Marie R. Findrick of San Jose, CA. He will also be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews, Mary Wunder, Kathleen Nied, James Findrick, Karen Pettit and Daniel Findrick and his beloved cat, Zimba. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, from 9:00 until 9:30 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown PA where his Funeral Service will be held at 9:30 am. Interment will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to Chandler Hall Health Services, 99 Barclay Street, Newtown, PA 18940.
